Elias Northen

Will - April 6, 1820

 

Know all men by these presents that I, Elias Northen, of Richmond County in the State of Virginia, after paying all my just debts now already contracted, doth make unto my beloved wife, Sally Northen, and my two children, Henry and Robert Northen, all of the County and State aforesaid, all my Negroes, viz. Jack and Lem, three feather beds and furniture and five ____, one set of china, one horse,  all my stock of cattle and hogs also all my interest of land and Negroes which was allotted to my mother, Jane Northen, as her dower to my father, Peter Northen=s estate to them and their heirs forever to have and to hold forever free from the claims of me and all persons claiming under me and after the payment of my just debts as above mentioned, I shall have no claim or further use ____ to have no direction of the above mentioned property which I hereby convey to my wife and children exclusively to their use and entirely to be at the direction of my wife, Sally Northen, for and during her life and after her death to be equally divided between my children.  As witness my hand and seal this 6th day of April 1820.
