Division Edward Jones to Children of Margaret Jones Northen
June 4,
1802
Agreeable to an order of the worshipful Court of
Richmond County bearing date June Court 1801. We the subscribers being
appointed to divide the proportion of the estate of Edward Jones deceased
allotted to Margaret Northen deceased among the children of the said
Margaret do allot unto Edward J. Northen one Negro Lucy and to receive ten
pounds, sixteen shillings and eight pence from Barbara B. Northen.
Also to Abner Dobyns who intermarried with Winifred
Northen one Negro George and to receive from Barbara B. Northen two pounds,
ten shillings, also to receive from Edmund Northen eighteen pounds, sixteen
shillings and eight pence.
Also to Barbara B. Northen one Negro Scipio subject to
the payment of ten pounds, sixteen shillings and eight pence to Edward J.
Northen, ten pounds, sixteen shillings and eight pence to Samuel Northen of
two pounds ten shillings to Abner Dobyns who intermarried with Winifred
Northen.
Also to Edmund Northen Negro Lucy and child Vincent
subject to the payment of eighteen pounds, six shillings and eight pence to
Abner Dobyns also sixteen shillings and eight pence to Polly Northen.
Also to Samuel Northen one Negro woman Sarah and child
Jesse and to receive ten pounds, sixteen shillings and eight pence from
Barbara B. Northen.
Also to Polly Northen two Negroes Sidney and Reuben and
to receive sixteen shillings and eight pence from Edmund Northen.
Given under our hands this 4th June 1801.
